In Denmark, we trust each other. Even people we don't know. That's how our daily life is built. Our country's economy. Our welfare society. And that's one of the best things our little country has to offer. But that trust is also what can hit us online. Digital development is constantly changing pace and form, making it even harder to figure out who we can trust and when we're about to get scammed. Because online, we constantly risk being led astray – either by ourselves, overlooking the best price, or by fake webshops that steal our money or, in the worst case, our identity. That's not fair.
But we understand that it can be hard to figure out. And that it can be confusing to navigate the internet's vast shopping center. It can actually be a hassle to figure out how to make the best purchase online. Even if you're a discount hunter. We don't think that's the right way to spend your time and energy.
That's why we at Molly are fighting to make online shopping easier to navigate. We do this by giving you the overview that makes it easier for you to make the right choice. We're a nearly invisible shopping assistant that lives in your browser. While you shop, we scan the web and ask all the important questions: Can you get a discount? Is the item cheaper on another site? Does the site have a trustmark? What do the reviews say? And we give you the answers in a tiny little box on the right side of your browser. Completely free. Easy, right?
Our goal is to help you by creating more transparency in online shopping. We believe that this should be standard because it puts the consumer in a better position. But it's not. Yet. For us, transparency means removing the noise before, during, and after your purchase, so you have more than just your gut feeling to go on. We can do this because we keep an eye on the internet, because you, as part of our invisible community, help others when you use Molly, and because we are constantly working to become even better at helping you when you shop.
With Molly by your side, you automatically get tips that can save you time and money. We will never tell you what to do – you decide that entirely yourself. But we promise you that you will be surprised at what your invisible ally can do for you.
Molly is funded by our partners, and we don't charge our users any direct fees. However, our users enable us to earn money through advertising partnerships, including price comparison portals and affiliate marketing. When you click on the price overview, which is in collaboration with Pricerunner, Pricerunner may receive a payment per click, of which we get a share. It doesn't matter whether you buy anything or not. The other type of advertising partnership is with webshops/advertisers that we collaborate with directly - or indirectly through affiliate networks. We only enter into agreements with webshops that have approved Molly and thus our advertising model.
We earn money by referring customers to products or stores - and/or by increasing the conversion on a given webshop. When we refer customers to other products/webshops, we strive for high relevance and value, so it is likely to improve the user's purchase. Although Molly's information always strives to be relevant and useful for the individual user in a given situation, as a commercial product, Molly will in many cases also favor an advertiser. So, although Molly tries to help its users make a better purchase than the starting point, Molly will rarely be able to guarantee that the better purchase is also the best purchase.
The Molly app was founded in the fall of 2021 by three passionate entrepreneurs: Mads, Peter, and Simon. We share a common interest in helping consumers save money and improve their online shopping experience. With our diverse backgrounds and expertise, we have together created an app that has made it easy for users to find the best prices, coupon codes, and product reviews across various online shopping platforms.
Based in Denmark, the Molly app helps more than 425,000 Danish consumers save money and enjoy better online shopping experiences. As a proud representative of Danish entrepreneurship, we continue to improve and develop the Molly platform and our dedication and expertise has made Molly a very popular app among consumers.
Unfortunately, Chrome doesn't support extensions like Molly on Android phones. So, if you want to enjoy Molly's discounts, better prices, and alerts, you'll need to use a browser other than Chrome when you shop!
You've got 3 options:
We're working on an Android app for online shopping – which you can use instead of your browser. It'll have everything you love about Molly, and you can experience it as a beta tester. If you're curious, can handle a few minor bugs, and want to influence our development, this is for you!
Sign up with your email here, and we'll let you know as soon as the Molly browser is fully developed for shopping on your Android phone.
It's possible to install Molly as an extension for the Kiwi browser, which isn't developed by us. Therefore, you might experience minor bugs, like Molly not popping up with the info you'd normally get.
