Why does Molly need to be enabled in private browsing?
This is not a requirement, but we have experienced that several users have contacted us because they cannot understand why Molly does not appear in the browser. This is because they have ended up in the private browser.
This is a standard warning from Apple. Molly does not store any personal information from the pages you visit. We only look for and only look specifically at selected areas of the site that may be directly relevant to our services.
You can also search for extensions by tapping the search bar at the top of Settings. Here's how: Go to Settings ➡️ Tap the search bar ➡️ Type: "Extensions" ➡️ Select Safari ➡ Extensions
Chrome does not allow extensions in their mobile browser. We recommend that you set Safari as your default browser so Molly can always help you. Here's how:
Go to Settings ➡️ Apps ➡️ Safari ➡️ Default app for browsing ➡️ Select Safari
If you have set screen time limits, you cannot activate Molly. You need to turn off content and anonymity in Screen Time under settings. How to turn it off:
Go to settings ➡️ Screen time ➡️ Content and Anonymity ➡️ Turn off
